Thank you for a great Season

Thanks to all the kids, parents, referees, and coaches who participated this season.  We had 256 players this year and hope to have as many or more next year, so we hope to see you all there.  Check back in May for registration information.

If you were not able to attend the awards ceremony on Saturday, your child's coach should have their medal.  Please contact them for that.

Thanks to All Sound DJ for providing the music and sound for our awards ceremony.  And to Western Drug and Woodland Building Center for their donations to our scholarship fund.

Due to Road Construction

We had to change our schedule this season.  I have changed it on the post Game Schedules.  Sorry to do this mid-season, but I literally just found out about it this morning.  As you all have noticed, Brown St. right in front of the school has been under construction and they are paving it on the 15th.  Good News: it will be done!  Bad news: we can't have games that day because the road will be closed making the fields inaccessible.  We have just moved all the games back a week so the season will finish on October 6th now.  So on your schedule, the games on the 15th will be played on the 22nd, the ones on the 22nd on the 29th and so on.  We will still be having our closing awards ceremony and it will be on October 6th now at 11 am (or right after the last game of the day).  Thanks for all your support!

Game Schedules

You will all receive a paper copy from your child's coach, but I will post it here as well.  Please note that the older two groups will now be playing at 8 am and 9:30 am this year.  This will allow for a little warm-up time and the games won't be going over.

Let the Games Begin!

We are finally ready to start the season.  The coaches are trained and have been given their rosters and should be calling all of you to remind you of Meet the Coaches on Saturday, August 11, 9 am at the RVES soccer fields.  Please come to that, it is a good time to have your child meet their coach and teammates and find out when practice will be held and they will also be getting game schedules, uniforms, and if you ordered shin guards or balls you will be picking them up then as well.

At 9:30 the high school soccer team will start registration for their soccer clinic which will be held right after until noon.  It is $10/kid and they are doing it as a fundraiser for their program so if you can, please support them in this effort.

We really appreciate everyone that has volunteered to be a coach, we couldn't do it without you!

You CAN still register your child

until Aug. 11,  but it will now cost $55/ 1st child and $50 for 2nd or more child.  We charge this because we have already split teams and are ordering uniforms and it just makes up for the cost of having to keep changing our numbers and ordering uniforms late.  We are sorry for this, but appreciate your understanding.

Soccer Schedule

Some have been asking about the soccer schedule so here is a tentative one.

  • May 26 & June 2: Registration at the library
  • June 30: Last day to get early bird pricing.  If you missed one of the registration dates, then contact a member of the board to pay, Becky Boone, Elizabeth James, Cassie Morris, Cassie Eagar, Heather McCall, or Mary Ann Adair.
  • July 23-27: Professional British Challenger Soccer Camp, must sign up through them, see here
  • Saturday, August 11: Meet the coaches, 9 am at the RVES fields
    • If you ordered shin guards or soccer balls you will be getting them this day
  • Saturday, August 11: 9:30-noonish, right after Meet the Coaches, the RVHS soccer team will be conducting a soccer clinic for the kids, coaches, and refs.  The charge for kids will be $10 each as a fundraiser for their team.  The HS coaches will also be hosting a free coach's clinic that we strongly recommend all coaches planning to attend.
  • August 18, 8am: first games will begin
  • September 29: Last games and this year we will be having an awards ceremony.  It will either be before the games or after the games, still to be decided.

Filling out application online

If you missed all 3 registration days, then you have until June 30 to register online using the instructions below and bring (to one of the board members) or mail 1 copy per child of the signed application and registration fees, which are $40/first child, $35/second child, $30 third and more.  We accept check payable to AYSO or cash.  Mail it to Becky Boone PO Box 1382 Eagar, AZ 85925.

We are also still accepting orders for shin guards and soccer balls for those that are interested.  We are charging the same price or cheaper than both Alco and Wal-Mart and it is a fund-raiser for our region, so if you need them, we would love for you to go through us.  See here for more info.

Instructions for Returning Players:
  1.  Please follow the directions from the post "Online Registration New this Year" first and then proceed onto these steps.
  2. After calling to link your children, you need to go back to eayso.org.
  3. Login with your email and password
  4. On the left hand side, there is a heading "Apply for my children to play", click on "Application for a returning player".
  5. It should have your children listed in blue.  Click on one of them and follow the directions.  We are region #273, but you shouldn't have to put that in, it should already have marked, continue to play in region #273 or something to that effect, just click "Next"
  6. Please check all information to make sure it is current.  This is what we give to the coaches so they have your contact information.  Please provide at least one email address.  Also put down a jersey size.  We are going to special order them this year.  If there is not a jersey size listed, then we will be ordering as follows, so if you are fine with these sizes, you may leave it blank:
    1. ages 4-5: x-small
    2. ages 6-7: small
    3. ages 8-9: medium
    4. ages 10-11: large
    5. ages 12-13: adult small
  7. It will ask you then to click the box saying you agree to electronically sign, please click that and then type out your name.  DO NOT print this page.
  8. The next page will ask you to review everything one last time and then click "submit".  Until you click that button they are not considered registered.
  9. Then it will bring you to a page where all the kids you have registered thus far will be in blue in a box in the bottom left side.  Click on a name to print.  It will bring up a separate window so pop-up blocker needs to be turned off to allow it to print.  The application is 2 pages, you can do front and back if you want just as long as we get both.
  10. Print 1 copy, not 2, then actually sign it with a pen, for us and bring or mail with your money and you are done.  We will email you a confirmation of receipt.
Instruction for New players:
  1. Go to eayso.org
  2. Click on "My child is new to AYSO"
  3. follow the directions to create a login, then login
  4. On the left hand side, there is a heading "Apply for my children to play", click on "Application for a new player".
  5. Fill out application completely especially with an email and contact information because this is what we give to the coaches. We are region #273. Also put down a jersey size.  We are going to special order them this year.  If there is not a jersey size listed, then we will be ordering as follows, so if you are fine with these sizes, you may leave it blank.  If your child is a average sized child, these sizes will fit them, if not, go up or down a size.
    1. ages 4-5: x-small
    2. ages 6-7: small
    3. ages 8-9: medium
    4. ages 10-11: large
    5. ages 12-13: adult small
  6. It will ask you then to click the box saying you agree to electronically sign, please click that and then type out your name.  DO NOT print this page.
  7. The next page will ask you to review everything one last time and then click "submit".  Until you click that button they are not considered registered.
  9. Print 1 copy, not 2, then actually sign it with a pen, for us and bring or mail with your money and you are done.  We will email you a confirmation of receipt.
If you want to volunteer (please, we always need people) you can also fill out a volunteer application online.
  1. After logging in, on the right hand side there is a heading "Adults that want to volunteer", click on either "Apply as a new volunteer" or "Apply as a returning volunteer"
    1. If you are returning and you want to sign up your spouse, you may have to call again and have them linked as well because it will initially be only for the person that filled in the login information I think.  I haven't done this before.  Or they can just create a whole new login.
  2. Fill out application.  Be sure to answer the question "Have you ever been convicted of a crime?" or else it will not put the application through.  Put down what you would like to volunteer for.  We always need coaches and regional volunteers.  Please contact us for more information on any of the jobs.
  3. As above electronically sign it, but you do not need to print any copies for us.  It will automatically be sent to Nationals for approval and they will let us know.
  4. AYSO is all volunteer run, so thank you so much for your time.
