Calling all volunteers!

AYSO is a COMPLETELY volunteer run organization, so we need all the help we can get. We appreciate everyone that has helped in the past.  We invite one person from each family to volunteer. We have several options to choose from and some can be done by older children.

Volunteer form required for the following:

  • Coach or Assistant coach (training required) - talk to Lori Whiting if you are interested
  • Team parent - help coach with snack and ref schedule
  • Referee (14 and up, training available) - for U-10 and U-14 games
  • Board member - talk to a board member to see what is available
Volunteer form not required, just talk to Denise Lever about signing up:
  • Field marking (good for a family) - remark fields with our line painting machines.  Only need to sign up for one week, needs to be done on Thursday evening or any time on Friday, takes 2 people 30-45 minutes.
  • Field cleanup (good for a family) - sign up for one Saturday and stay after the last games to pick up trash.
We also would appreciate anyone that would be willing to go around to different businesses asking for donations for our scholarship fund.  If we do not have anyone step forward to do this, we will not have scholarships to offer as the board members already have a full plate and will not have time to do this as well.  Please let one of the board members know at registration.



2014 Registration

It is time to start registration for soccer in the fall.  We are still learning the best way to get everyone registered.   We found out last year that even though we need you to register online, we also need you to turn in your child's application at a registration event.

So you have 2 options.
1) You can come in to an event and do it all there.  All you need to do is remember your login email and password and then come and we will help you through it all.
OR
2) Fast track: you can register online at home at eayso.org, then print ONE copy of each child's application.  Bring those to a registration event and we will register your child.  For more instructions on how to register read here.

Payment info: you can pay online with a credit card or pay with cash or check at the registration events.

All registrations events will be at the library conference room:
Saturday, May 17, 1-3 pm
Saturday, June 7, 10-noon
Saturday, June 21, TBA

Fees:
Until June 28: $47 for 1st and 2nd child; $42 for 3rd out more child
June 29-July 31: $62 each child
We have have had to raise rates again this year because we found out that we have to back pay 5 years of sales taxes all this season.  This is not our region's oversight and something that all region's in Arizona have to do.  We hope once that is paid off we can drop rates again next year.  We are sorry for this and hope that you will still support our region and register your child(ren).

We are selling shin guards and balls for a fund raiser again this year.  Go here for more information. These can be ordered at any of the registration events and picked up at Meet the coaches.  We will also have extra that can be bought at Meet the Coaches.

This year we also want to try something new.  If anyone has old cleats, shin guards, or balls that they do not need anymore, you can donate them to us at any of the registration events.  We will then have these available at Meet the Coaches for those that need them.  We will do it on a donation basis.

Tournament and end of season schedule

Wow, that went by fast.  We have one more Saturday left.  I hope you guys enjoyed the soccer season this year and will return again next year.  We will be having a end of season awards ceremony immediately following the last game on Saturday, which is tentatively 11 am.  It will be be about 30 minutes and we will give each kid a medal and award one team from each division a sportsmanship award.  If you are unable to attend, please contact your coach and not the board as they will have your medals.

We will be having a tournament for the U-10 and U-14 divisions.  The championship games will be at 10 am and 9:30 am respectively and we encourage all of you to stay and cheer them on as you wait for the awards ceremony to start. 

The tournament schedule for the U-10 and U-14 divisions are as follows.

U-10
8 am: for 5th and 6th place finishes - team 3 (yellow) vs. 6 (silver)
9 am: for 3rd and 4th place finishes - team 4 (orange) vs. 5 (lt. blue)
10 am: for 1st and 2nd place finishes - team 1 (navy) vs. 2 (lime green)

U-14
8 am: for 3rd and 4th place finishes- team 1 (black) vs. 3 (gold)
9:30 am: for 1st and 2nd place finishes - team 2 (red) vs. 4 (green)

Registration for 2013

It is that time of year again and we know it is coming right off of basketball and baseball registration but we want to take advantage of the schools to advertise, so please note that you have until June 29 to register to get the early bird pricing.  As with last year, it is to be done all online.  We are offering online payments this year to make it even easier to register.  If you register by June 29, it is $45 for the first kid, and $35 for all after that.  If you register between June 30 and August 1 (these dates are firm), the fee goes up $15.  We are sorry that rates once again had to be raised but AYSO raised their insurance price per kid again this year.  We hope to be able to keep offering multiple kid discounts though to help offset some of the increased cost.

Instructions for registering your child(ren) online:

Returning Players: Please read all steps

  1. logon at www.eayso.org 
  2. Click on "application for a returning player"
  3. There should now be a list of your children that have played previously.  Click on one of them.
  4. We are region #273, this should be the automatic choice so you should only need to click "Next".
  5. Please check over these next few screens and make sure that nothing has changed.  This is important that we have updated information especially phone numbers.
  6. In the player information page, please mark a jersey AND short size, NOT the uniform size.  We are going with the same company as last year so please note that the short sizes run big.
    • Also remember to list any siblings that may be in the same division as them.  This is the only way we will know to look for a sibling.  
    • Also if there are any reasons why your child will need to be on or NOT be on someone's team please let us know up front.  After August 1, we will not be making any changes to team rosters, no exceptions.  You can either state it in the sibling section or please call Becky Boone 333-1590.
  7. Just keep pushing Next until you get to the application page, review it and make sure everything is correct, scroll down to the bottom, click the box that says you agree to electonically sign, then type in your name and click continue.
  8. You need to again scroll down to the bottom and click Submit. PLEASE NOTE: until you do this last step, your child will not be registered.
  9. If you have more children to register, DO NOT pay at this time, go back to your home page (upper right hand corner) and repeat these instructions each child until they are all registered.  If you also have a new player this year, after registering your other children, go to your home page, and click on "application for a new player" and follow the same instructions.
  10. After you have registered your last child, then you can pay online for all of them at once.  Click the box for each child and then click "Pay fee via Credit Card"
    • If you want to pay by check/cash/MO then you will need to come to a registration event or mail your payment to Elizabeth James PO Box 1085 Eagar, AZ 85925.
  11. Also we are again doing our shin guard and soccer ball fundraiser, so if you need any of these for you kids and would like to pay for them now, then click on the appropriate box and it will be included in your payment.  You will still need to email me at theeagarboones@gmail.com with the style and sizes that you want because that won't come through, but this will just make it easier to pay.  Otherwise you will need to mail your payment to the address listed in step 10 or pay at Meet the Coaches.
  12. If for any reason you get kicked out of eayso, or need to come back and finish you can.  You just need to log back in and on your home page, then you can click "online payment" and it will take you back to the payment page.

Soccer Calendar 2013


  • Thursday, May 9: online registration and payment open on eayso.org
  • Wednesday, May 15: Registration Event at the library; 3:30-7 pm
  • Saturday, June 29: Registration Event at the library; 10-1pm
  • Monday, July 22-July 26: Challenger Sports Camp, see this post for more information
  • Wednesday, August 1: Last day to register
  • Saturday, August 10: Meet the Coaches, 9 am, RVES fields
    • The High School Girls' Soccer Team will be hosting a soccer clinic as a fundraiser right after Meet the Coaches with registration from 9:30-10 and the clinic from 10-12pm.  Cost will be $10/player.
  • Saturday, August 17: First games of the season
  • Saturday, Sept 28: Last games and Awards Ceremony
